Welcome to Tamyse Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I live in Tewkesbury and have been breeding and showing Cavaliers since the 1980s. My Kennel Club affix, “Tamyse,” is the Anglo-Saxon name for the River Thames and was chosen because my family home for over 30 years was in Kemble, which was close to the source of the river.
I’ve been passionate about Cavaliers since I was a child and first became an owner of the breed in 1973. Cavaliers have been in residence ever since, and currently, I have several Blenheims, which are my favorite color.
I’m very proud of the dogs I’ve bred, and it was a wonderful moment when I made up my first UK show Champion, Tamyse Delecia J.W. (pictured above), in 2008. I’ve also bred Challenge Certificate and Reserve CC-winning dogs along the way. I’m a member of two breed clubs, including the main Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club.
All my dogs live in the house as family pets and are health checked before breeding. I only keep a small number of dogs and, on average, breed one litter a year. Puppies are sometimes available to approved homes, and new owners are encouraged to keep in touch with ongoing help and advice offered if needed.
